Man survives jump off train bridge in Saskatoon
Thanks to quick action from two constables, a man who fell into the South Saskatchewan River is in stable condition and recovering in hospital.
Kelsie Fraser with the Saskatoon Police Service said the man jumped off the bridge around noon Friday.
A bystander walking the Meewasin Valley trail along Spadina Crescent alerted police, who quickly ran to the shore about one kilometer north of the bridge.
The two officers linked arms, stepped into the river and managed to reach the man flowing past with a baton.
