Trailer park owner given compliance deadline
For the time being, the remaining residents at the North Bay Trailer Court are safe to stay where they are but questions still linger regarding the issue of where residents will send their sewage.
A spokesperson for the Water Security Agency told paNOW, the trailer court’s proposed new owner must submit a proposal by September 1, with respects to finding a new sewage treatment solution. Ron Podbielski confirmed there had been some good dialogue already.
“We haven’t seen that formal proposal as of yet but he certainly wants to bring forward a solution that will help address the compliance notice before Sept. 1,” he said.
Concerns about the local sewer lagoon reached a serious level in 2017. Prior to a pending sale, residents had been told they would have to vacate by Aug. 1 and at last check there were roughly 30 occupied trailers still on site. While acknowledging no one wants to see the residents forced to leave, Podbielski explained the proposal was necessary.
