The other fire occurred on May 20 at around 12:50 p.m.

Crews arrived on scene to find a church completely involved with a spreading wildfire. Crews began attacking the structure fire while the reserve wildfire crews attacked the grass fire.

Buckland Fire and Rescue was contacted to assist by bringing water tenders and man power.

The police investigation determined the fire to be non-criminal in nature. No injuries were reported to police in relation to this incident.

On Friday, RCMP stated their investigation to date has determined the two fires are not connected.

Anyone who may have information about the March 28 fire is encouraged to report it to police by calling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
