Two churches destroyed by fire at Little Red Reserve
For the second time in less than two weeks, a church at Little Red River Reserve has been destroyed by fire.
The latest incident happened on Thursday at around 11:40 p.m.
The Lakeland and District Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and when they arrived, the fire had already breached the roof of the structure. While crews began attacking the structure fire, reserve wildland crews monitored the area so that there was no fire extension into any surrounding brush.
Prince Albert RCMP determined the church did not have any occupants at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported to police.
