Woman charged in connection to two separate assault incidents in Prince Albert

A 22-year-old woman from Prince Albert is facing a number of charges, including assault causing bodily harm, after police investigated two separate incidents that occurred in early April.

On April 9, just before 8 p.m. police were dispatched to a business in the 800 block of 15th Street East for a report of a disturbance involving an unwanted person at the location who was refusing to leave and became involved in a physical altercation with security and members of the public. The investigation determined the suspect had assaulted a 34-year-old man inside the business. He was taken to hospital for further assessment.

Police determined that same suspect was also involved in an assault that took place on April 1.

A report came in around 9:40 a.m. that day of an assault that had just occurred in the 100 block of 14th Street East. A 16-year-old female victim reported being approached by an unknown woman while waiting at a transit location. The suspect became confrontational before striking the victim in the face and fleeing the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.
