P.A. Wrestling Club shines at provincial championships in home tournament
The gymnasium inside of St. Mary High School in Prince Albert was the hub for Saskatchewan Wrestling Provincials over the weekend.
Hundreds of wrestlers from the U15 age class up to Senior made the trek to P.A. to fight for a chance to head to the national championships next month in Grande Prairie, Alta. Clubs came from everywhere to compete, like from Carrot River, Saskatoon, Elrose, Regina, and Swift Current.
The weekend also hosted the Sask Wrestling Awards Banquet, where the Prince Albert Wrestling Club was recognized with the prestigious Club Development Award.
The honour is presented to the organization who has demonstrated outstanding growth, leadership, and commitment to developing wrestlers at all levels. Individual awards for athletes, coaches, and officials were also handed out during the banquet.
