Innovation and innovators recogniged at farm show

A Regina-based agriculture event brings farmers, exhibitors and industry leaders together to kick off the growing season.

The event features hands-on learning, a large-scale tradeshow, and opportunities to explore advancements in agriculture.  

Canada’s Farm Show also provides special recognition to individuals making an impact in the agriculture sector. Awards are also being presented for the ideas, technologies, and initiatives helping agriculture evolve. 

Trent Fraser, Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of Regina Exhibition Association said the awards are presented at the start of Canada’s Farm Show. 

“The Innovators Recognition Program highlights the thinkers and problem-solvers, who are driving agriculture forward. These innovators aren’t just improving how we farm today; they’re shaping the future of agriculture,” he said. “We’re proud to recognize these talented individuals whose ideas, technology and leadership will help propel the next generation of progress in our industry.”  

The 2026 Innovator recipients include:  

  • Emerging Innovator: Darby Kreitz, founder of Red Leaf Pulp  
  • Visionary Innovator: Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel, farmer, speaker and agricultural advocate  
  • Community Innovator: The Doolie Project, led by Janel Delage of Delage Farms  
  • Farmer Innovator: Danyka Scott, co-owner of Land & Sky Grains  

Canada’s Farm Show also recognizes new products and solutions through its Innovation Program, where exhibitors present technologies and services new to the market that demonstrate advancements for farmers.  

The 2026 Innovation Program winners are:  

New Equipment Innovation: The Equalizer Air Tine Drill & Infinite Agronomy Air Cart by Lemken Canada  

New Technology Innovation: John Deere X9 Split Frame Concave – MAD Concaves by Bushel Plus  

New Services Innovation: ForwardProtect, Agrienhance and Farmelevate by Agi3 Risk Services  

Fraser said exhibitors present advancements in agricultural equipment, technology, and services.  

“Innovation is essential to keeping agriculture competitive and resilient,” Fraser said. “Programs like this help recognize both the people and the technologies that are pushing the industry forward and delivering practical solutions for farmers.”  

Canada’s Farm Show Regina, presented by Bunge, continues until tomorrow afternoon.
