Snowmobile crash near Elk Ridge sends one man to hospital
Multiple agencies were involved in the rescue Saturday night of a 25-year-old man who crashed his snowmobile in the Elk Ridge area.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., RCMP, Lakeland Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The volunteer firefighters then deployed their winter rescue unit to head to the scene down a groomed trail.
Lake Country Rentals in Elk Ridge also provided extra snow mobiles to help transport RCMP, Parkland Ambulance, and extra crew members to the scene.
