P.A.’s Hudak captures first medal at Milan Cortina Paralympics
A Prince Albert Paralympian has won her first medal at the Milan Cortina Paralympics.
Brittany Hudak captured bronze in the women’s 10km interval start standing classic race on Wednesday, marking her fourth career Paralympic medal and first of the Milan Cortina Paralympics. She placed third with a time of 32:01.0, finishing only behind USA’s Sydney Peterson (29:49.2) and Norway’s Vilde Nilsen (29:51.8).
“It feels great,” said Hudak in an interview with the Canadian Paralympic Committee following the race. “I knew the fitness was there, I knew I was skiing well, it was just kind of managing to put everything together in the same day.
“I’m really happy to put together a solid race.”
