Two people charged in connection to a ride share carjacking in Prince Albert, have been released on bail and without having to argue their case.

Justice Kadachuk and Jasmine Beatty appeared Monday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court and were both granted consent release by the Crown Prosecutor.

Their mutual conditions include a curfew and not possessing any sort of weapon including bear spray.

If Beatty breaches any of her conditions she would return to jail and pay $200. Kadachuk’s conditions also include not possessing a cell phone and if he breaches any of his conditions, he will pay $500.

The events from March 4, began just after 1:30p.m. when police were called to a gas station parking lot in the 2600 block of Second Ave. W. The victim was threatened with a gun and robbed of his vehicle.

Police were able to track the stolen truck as it drove through the city before it was disabled on Kemp Crescent.

The Prince Albert Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended and a man and woman were subsequently arrested without further incident.

A search of the stolen vehicle and involved residence on Kemp Crescent did not result in police locating any items of evidentiary value.

Kadachuk and Beatty have each been charged with robbery and possession of stolen property exceeding $5,000.

Kadachuk also has another outstanding matter from February that relates to drug trafficking.

Both are scheduled to return to court on March 25.
