Woman accepts responsibility for Prince Albert car jacking

Feb 11, 2026 | 11:20 AM

There’s been a change of plea from a woman charged after a car jacking in Prince Albert last fall.

Kealee Benjamin, who was 25 at the time of her arrest last September, has accepted responsibility for robbery and breaching two prior release conditions.

The case was discussed Wednesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

A sentencing hearing was scheduled for March 13.

On Sept. 14, 2025 police were called to a business in the 2200 block of Sixth Ave. E. for a reported robbery and found the 30-year-old victim with no physical injuries.

Later, they found the stolen vehicle in the 600 block of 17th St. W. and followed it to the 2100 block of Second Ave. W. and pulled it over, but the occupants fled.

Benjamin was arrested later that day.

A K9 track was also conducted by members of the Canine Unit and led to police locating and seizing a backpack containing a firearm and ammunition before ending the track in the location of the arrest.

Not guilty pleas were entered last November and a preliminary inquiry hearing had been scheduled for this month.
