RCMP, PA Police investigate death on 41st Street East

Both city police and RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a person found dead on 41St Street East on Monday.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit (formerly Major Crimes) and the Prince Albert RCMP are leading the investigation along with Prince Albert Police Service.

A source told paNOW the said property is a salvage yard. 

Officers are working to identify the person who died and an autopsy will be done in the days to come by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.  

They are developing a clear timeline of events in working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.  

An update will be provided when more information is available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, the public will be notified.

The Homicide Investigation Unit investigates homicides, suspicious deaths, missing persons where foul play is suspected or likely, explosions believed to be of a criminal nature involving death or injury, and other incidents, as directed.
