Reeve candidates confirmed for RM of Buckland byelection

There are three people vying for the job of Reeve in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Buckland.

They are former Reeve Don Fyrk, former Div. 2 Councillor Linda Clavelle, and Mark Zentner who has run in multiple elections.

Nominations closed on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and the nominees had until 4 p.m. on Thursday to withdraw.

Election Day has been scheduled for March 4.

In order to increase voter turnout, the RM has announced two dates for advance polls.

They will be on Feb. 25 (3 to 8 p.m.) and Feb. 28 (10a.m.to 3p.m.)

All voting will occur at the RM office in Prince Albert.

The byelection was called after Larry Eros resigned. Eros declined to provide a reason.
