Fleeing suspect releases bear spray into Prince Albert shopping mall
A 19-year-old man is facing a number of serious charges after allegedly deploying bear spray inside Prince Albert’s Gateway Mall.
Early Sunday afternoon, at approximately 2:20 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the shopping centre for a report of a man with an outstanding warrant.
Arriving officers located the man; however, he began to flee on foot. At this time, another call for service came in where it was reported the same man had discharged bear spray inside the shopping centre.
As the incident continued, members of the Saskatchewan RCMP were on scene assisting and located the suspect in the 100 block of 13th St. E.
