Wadena man one of two drivers to die in collision

A 28-year-old man from Wadena is one of two drivers to die in a collision on New Year’s Day.

Saskatoon RCMP attended to the collision on January 1 at about 3:25 am on Highway 219, south of Saskatoon.

A minivan and SUV had collided, killing both drivers at the scene.

The second driver was a 5-yea-old man from Saskatoon. Neither of the vehicles had passengers.

The highway was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened. Saskatoon RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
