What’s open and closed for the holidays in Prince Albert

As many Prince Albert residents get set to hunker down for the holidays, many businesses and city facilities will be doing the same.

Although many are open on Christmas Eve with limited hours, most will be closed this Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Those keeping their doors closed for the holidays are banks and other Federal buildings, along with many city facilities, like the Alfred Jenkins Fieldhouse, City Hall, Kinsmen Arena, Art Hauser Centre, Kinsmen Ski and Snowboard Centre, the Cosmo Lodge at Knotty Pine, E.A. Rawlinson Centre, Mann Art Gallery, and the arenas at the Lake Country Leisure Centre.

Some places will be closed on Christmas but open for Boxing Day, including the Prince Albert Landfill, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and the aquatic side of the Lake Country Leisure Centre, which is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Transit buses are not scheduled to run on Christmas, but will be back in service on Boxing Day from 9:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
