Mintos alum recalled by Oilers, returns to NHL

Dec 19, 2025 | 3:29 PM

Connor Ingram is back in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The former Prince Albert Mintos goaltender was recalled by the Edmonton Oilers on Friday after newly-acquired starter Tristan Jarry left Thursday’s game against the Boston Bruins with a lower-body injury.

Jarry exited the game midway through the second period after trying to push his leg across the crease and was slow to get up afterward. The game was just the third for Jarry in an Oilers uniform after the team picked him up from Pittsburgh in a trade last week.

Replacing Jarry in the meantime is Ingram, who was acquired by Edmonton earlier this season from Utah in early October after the Mammoth waived him.

Ingram, a Saskatoon product, has spent this season in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Bakersfield Condors. In 11 games, he’s struggled between the pipes, posting a 4.04 GAA with a .856 SV%. With Utah last season, Ingram went 9-8-4-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with a 3.27 GAA and an .882 SV% in 22 appearances. His last NHL game was on Feb. 22.

The 28-year-old played one season with the Prince Albert Mintos in 2013-14. He played in 23 games, winning 16, and posted a 1.98 GAA and .928 SV% with two shutouts. He guided the Mintos to a provincial championship and to an eventual Telus Cup (National) Championship, where he was named the tournament’s Top Goaltender, alongside teammate Lane Michasiw.

Ingram is expected to on the bench for the Oilers in their next game on Saturday night when Edmonton faces off with the Wild in Minnesota.
