Not guilty pleas entered by Sturgeon Lake robbery suspects
Nearly three months after an armed robbery at Sturgeon Lake First Nation, comes news that the resulting court case is proceeding to trial.
Two of the men charged, Paul Ermine and Toby Daniels, have entered not guilty pleas and elected to be tried at provincial court in Prince Albert. Both men appeared by video from the correctional center when their matters were discussed Thursday morning.
Trial dates were set for May 1, 2026.
On Sept. 23, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP were called to the small community west of the city for a report of a robbery.
