Pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle near Montreal Lake

RCMP say a 35-year-old man from Montreal Lake Cree Nation was struck and killed Sunday night.
At approximately 8 p.m., officers received a report of a vehicle collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian on Highway 969 which is the road that connects Highway 2 North to the reserve.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. His family has been notified.
The woman who was driving the SUV remained at the scene and did not report any injuries to police.
