Prince Albert Police confirm city’s sixth homicide of the year

Prince Albert Police are now investigating Saturday’s death in the West Flat as the city’s sixth homicide of the year.

On Saturday at around 3:45 p.m., police were called to a home in the 700 block of 18th Street West for a call for service involving a theft. While searching the residence, officers found an already deceased 41-year-old man inside.

In relation to the investigation, members of the police’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) and Forensic Identification Section (FIS) executed a search warrant at a different residence in the 700 block of 18th Street West on Monday. An autopsy was also completed on Monday.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues.
