Man accused in Weyburn highway shooting remains in jail for now
The decision to release the man accused of a shooting that left one woman dead on Highway 39 won’t come until later.
Justice Michael Morris has chosen to reserve his decision on whether or not to release Chris Fahlman while he reviews evidence after proceedings wrapped up at the Court of King’s Bench in Weyburn on Thursday.
Fahlman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Tanya Myers, who was travelling as a passenger in an SUV on Highway 39 outside Weyburn in September.
He’s also facing a charge of intentionally discharging a firearm while being reckless to the safety of another person.
