Two arrested following armed robbery, pursuit by P.A. police
Prince Albert Police have charged a man and a woman with robbery and resisting arrest after an incident led to a police chase.
Officers first received reports of a robbery on 28th St. W. around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Initial information said a vehicle was stolen by two people brandishing knives. Police located the victim upon arrival, where they were assessed and treated for non-life-threatening injuries by Parkland Ambulance.
A short time later, officers located the stolen vehicle on River St. W. When police attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, leading officers to give chase due to the violent nature of the initial call.
The pursuit ended a short while later when the suspects crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 30th St. and 2nd Ave. W. The man and the woman attempted to flee the scene on foot but were arrested by officers a short distance away. The driver of the other vehicle did not report any injuries.
