Nov 20, 2025 | 2:08 PM

Nicole Laurin passed away in October of 2023 after she was found suffering from serious injuries. More than two years later, police still don’t know why it happened or who did it.

Along with her family, investigators with the Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are renewing their calls for the public’s help in relation to the homicide.

“If you have any information, please come forward. We need justice, we need to solve this. We need to get our lives back together. We need it. So please come forward. If you have any information, contact police, talk to somebody,” said Nicole Laurin’s father Robert Bear.

Around 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 6, police responded to a weapons complaint in the 400 block of 13th St. E. When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Laurin who was seriously injured. She was taken to hospital where she later passed away.

To date, police said no charges have been laid in relation to her death. They’re asking anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area surrounding the 300 block of 13th St. E between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

“We want people to come forward with any information, it doesn’t matter how small, and it doesn’t matter if we’ve spoken with you previously. We want people to come forward, and let’s bring justice for Nicole and for her family. Let’s get Nicole’s family the answers they so greatly deserve,” said S/Sgt. Travis Willie.

The Prince Albert Police Service can be reached at 306-953-4222 and anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
