Unknown driver hits power pole and flees the scene

The person responsible for crashing a vehicle into a power pole and a subsequent short power blip across Prince Albert, has not yet been found.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday evening, police, fire crews and paramedics were dispatched to the 300 block of River Street West.

Arriving officers learned a vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle before continuing and colliding with a power pole.

Officers also learned the occupant of the vehicle that hit the pole had fled the scene on foot.

There were no injuries reported as the parked vehicle was not occupied at the time of the collision. Both vehicles were towed from scene.

SaskPower was also called to attend the scene to attend to the power pole.

Police are continuing to investigate in relation to this collision and anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
