Charges laid following search in Sturgeon Lake First Nation

A 20-year old man from Sturgeon Lake appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday to face several firearms-related charges.
Thoren Daniels was arrested on Nov. 12 after police searched a home on Sturgeon Lake First Nation in relation to an ongoing investigation. Two people inside the home were arrested without incident. During a search inside, police located and seized several items, including a sawed-off shotgun, rifle ammunition, a magazine and body armour.
Daniels faces 11 charges in total and was also arrested on a warrant from Prince Albert RCMP for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.
