Cocaine, meth and prohibited gun found during traffic stop in Prince Albert

A man and a woman from Prince Albert are facing a number of serious charges after a traffic stop in the city resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash and a gun.

On October 24, at approximately 8 p.m., RCMP initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle speeding through a school zone.

After conducting a roadside mandatory alcohol screening, it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol before driving.

During a search of the vehicle, officers seized approximately 18 grams of cocaine, nine grams of methamphetamine, a loaded firearm, and a sum of cash.

April Dawn Clarke and Cameron Morin face a number of gun related charges related to the unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm in motor vehicle.

They’re also accused of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

Clarke was additionally charged with one count of operation of a conveyance while impaired.

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate.
