Swimming registration at new pool starts Friday

New swimmers will soon have a chance to take lessons in Prince Albert’s new Lake Country Co-Op Leisure Centre swimming pool.

Registration will open on Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 a.m. Non-residents can register on Monday, Oct. 27, also at 8 a.m.

Two lesson sets will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturday evenings. You can find the link to register for lessons here: https://bit.ly/4nZmAYi

The city fully anticipates the amount of lesson space won’t be enough to satisfy demand at the beginning, but said they are still in the process of expanding.

“We know the demand for swim lessons in Prince Albert is high, and while this first release won’t meet the full community need just yet, it marks an exciting step forward as we continue building our team and expanding programming capacity at the new facility,” said the Parks and Rec staff in a news release.
