UPDATED: Pedestrian killed in collision east of Nipawin

A man who had been declared missing was the person killed on a highway east of Nipawin.

30-year-old Courtnall Flett from Shoal Lake Cree Nation was identified as the man killed on Highway 55 on Oct. 2.

Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate Flett’s death, with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Nipawin RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist are investigating a collision that claimed a pedestrian’s life.

Police were called to the scene on Oct. 2 at around 6 a.m. along a part of Highway 55, east of Nipawin.

The pedestrian was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

Officers are working to identify the deceased in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service and RCMP, and stated they cannot provide any further details at this time.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene, and they did not report injuries to police.
