Section of 13th Street W closed off due to ‘police operation’

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service currently have a portion of 13th Street West shut down due to an apparent standoff.

Police have surrounded a home in Providence Place, a senior housing complex, and were seen talking with residents near the scene.

In a release, police said that they’re “currently conducting a police operation,” and are asking residents to avoid the area at this time.

An update will be provided either when the investigation wraps up or when new information becomes available.
