Alert issued at Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation after multiple gun shots

RCMP are investigating reports of a shooting at Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.
The initial call came in at approximately 8:47 p.m. Saturday and several others – indicating gun shots in the area – came in after.
According to a statement issued by police, residents could expect to see an increased police presence and were asked to avoid the areas where officers are present and to follow any direction provided.
Residents were also being asked to remain in their homes while the investigation is ongoing..
