One man has been arrested following an investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service Proactive Policing Unit (PPU) into multiple flights from officers.

TJ Faithful, 19, has been charged with evading police, breaching his release order, and failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

On April 2, the Proactive Policing Unit began investigating incidents where the same vehicle evaded police numerous times in a 12-24 hour period. It was also believed the same suspect had evaded police on multiple other occasions this year.

Through their investigation, officers were quickly able to identify a suspect in relation to these incidents who they discovered had previous outstanding warrants for his arrest. Later that same day, officers attended a residence in the 500 block of 22nd Street East where the suspect surrendered and was arrested without further incident.

“The work of our Proactive Policing Unit reflects the ongoing commitment of the Prince Albert Police Service to ensuring community safety through intelligence-led enforcement. Behind every arrest like this is a dedicated team of officers working diligently behind the scenes to identify repeat offenders and disrupt dangerous behavior, Police Chief Patrick Nogier said in a statement.

In the first quarter of 2025, members of the Prince Albert police service have experienced 110 incidents involving suspects fleeing from police.

“This is not acceptable, and we will remain vigilant in our efforts to hold those who put our community at risk accountable. Proactive investigations like this one will continue until we see a sustained and measurable reduction in these types of offences,” Nogier said.

While at the residence, officers located and seized the vehicle involved in the flight from police incidents.

In addition to the above mentioned charges, Faithful was also issued a ticket for driving while suspended which also resulted in a 30 day impound of the vehicle involved.
