Conservative Party – Jim Lemaigre

A member of Clearwater River Dene Nation, Jim Lemaigre served as the Saskatchewan Party representative for the 2022 by-election where he helped turn the seat from the NDP, the first time a right-wing party has held the Athabasca seat. That seat was lost again in the 2024 election again by the NDP. A former RCMP constable in multiple Saskatchewan communities, Lemaigre was the program manager for the First Nations and Indigenous Policing Program through the Ministry of Corrections, Policing, and Public Safety.
