Three people arrested after drive by shooting in Hazeldell

Three people were arrested and charged by Prince Albert Police following a drive-by shooting in Hazeldell yesterday.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Oxford Street NW just before noon on March 30.

A vehicle drove through an alley and two shots were fired, hitting a piece of property but no injuries to humans were reported.

The suspects fled but their vehicle was found hours later in the 900 Block of Albright Crescent, which is at the very eastern edge of the city.

Police conducted a high risk vehicle stop and arrested two men and woman without further incident.

Inside the suspect vehicle, two firearms and an Airsoft gun were found and seized.

Charges have been laid relating to careless use and storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, tampering with a serial number, and prohibited weapon in a motor vehicle.

A 34-year-old man, 23-year-old man, and 23-year-old woman are charged and make their next court appearance on April 2.

Police are continuing to investigate this shooting and anyone with information or video footage that may assist in this investigation is asked to contact police at 306-953-4222.
