The Allan Flames are champions of the Twin Rivers Hockey League (TRHL) in 2025.

The Flames downed the Willow Cree Chiefs 8-4 in Game 4 on Friday at Beardy’s Memorial Arena, taking the best-of-five series 3-1. Allan previously won Games 1 and 2 (8-4 and 6-3) before Willow Cree managed to squeeze out a narrow 4-3 victory in Game 3 to force a Game 4.

COMPLETE BOX SCORE

The Flames were hot coming out of the gate, putting up four goals in the first period including two each from Brodie Senger and Kieth Mitchell, while outshooting the Chiefs 16-5 in the frame.

Carrying that lead into the second, Willow Cree managed to get on the board early in the period off the stick of Trent Campbell, which was quickly followed up by a powerplay marker from Greg Cameron Jr. to cut the lead in half.

Allan would swiftly restore the four-goal lead though, with Cody Pongracz scoring twice, both on the powerplay and on the penalty kill, making it 6-2. Cameron Jr. would score again for the Chiefs, before Pongracz and Mitchell scored for the Flames in the final moments of the period to each collect a hat-trick, heading into the third with the score at 8-3.

From there, Willow Cree tallied the only goal of the period, coming from Ethan Bear just five minutes into the frame. Despite some opportunities, Allan stood strong to hang on for the 8-4 victory in Game 4 to win the Twin Rivers Hockey League title.

Robbie Hufnagel collected the victory between the pipes for the Flames, making 20 saves while on the other end of the ice, Chiefs netminder Nathan Dancy turned aside 47 shots in the loss.

According to EliteProspects.com, the championship victory is Allan’s first in the TRHL since they joined the league in 2021. Previously, the Flames competed in the Wheatland Sr. Hockey League (WSHL), where they won six league titles in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019.
