Ronald Bear re-elected Chief at Muskoday First Nation

Ronald Bear has been re-elected to a second term as Chief at Muskoday First Nation.

As per Tuesday’s election results, he had just eight more votes than runner-up Jennifer Heimbecker (167-159).

Elected to council were Elwin Bear, Beryl Bear, Heather Constant, Kelly Bear and Jennifer Heimbecker.

A band member can run for both chief and council.

The swearing in ceremony is happening Wednesday morning.
