On Sunday, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers were called to the area of 12 Ave. W. and 16 St. W. for a weapons complaint where it was believed a firearm was discharged multiple times.

While responding, officers were informed about two suspect vehicles, a white truck and a white sedan, leaving the area around 15th St. W and 16th St. W.

Shortly after, officers located the white sedan in the 1200 block of 24 St. W. and a man and woman were both detained for a weapons investigation.

Officers observed the woman to have injuries consistent with a gunshot wound and she was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Police said multiple bullet holes were observed on the white sedan. The vehicle, along with several bullet casings were seized.

Upon further investigation, officers learned the white sedan left a business in the 2900 block of 2nd Ave. W. and was followed by a white truck to the area of 12 Ave. W. and 16 St. W. when someone began to shoot at them.

After realizing the female victim was shot they drove to the hospital.

The Prince Albert Police Service is trying to locate the suspect vehicle described as a white Dodge Ram extended cab pickup truck with black tonneau cover and chrome accents along the bottom.

Anyone who may have witnessed the white Dodge Ram truck in these areas, or may have information as to the owner of the truck, where it may be located, or video surveillance from the surrounding area, are asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
