Sturgeon Lake First Nation prepares for election

In less than two weeks, members of Sturgeon Lake First Nation will head to the polls.

The band’s election date has been scheduled for March 31.

Advance poll options are also available on March 29 in Saskatoon at the Quality Inn, and on March 30 at the Pioneer Log House on the city’s exhibition grounds.

There are two Chief candidates.

Christina Longjohn is seeking a second term and is challenged by Rachel Moosehunter.

There are nine people vying for the six council seats: Solomon Sanderson, Anita Parenteau, Audrey Kingfisher, Austin Naytowhow, Fred Felix, Mark Daniels, Bernard Moosehunter, Elaine Naytowhow and Clarence Ermine.
