Pat C’s cruise past Mintos in Game 3, P.A. eliminated from playoffs
The Prince Albert Mintos saw their season come to an end on Friday night at the hands of the Regina Pat Canadians.
P.A. made the trip down to the provincial capital for Game 3 of their best-of-five series where a five-goal second period from Regina proved the difference maker as the Pat C’s advanced to the Sask. Male AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL) semifinals with a commanding 7-2 triumph.
The Mintos were up by one heading into the second after Lincoln Rogers found the back of the net to give the Green and Gold their first lead of the series.
However, the floodgates opened in the middle frame for the Pat Canadians as they fed P.A. a fistful, scoring five in the period including two from Prince Albert Raiders prospect Jonah Sivertson and one each from Maddox Schultz, Chase Surkan, and Eli Johnson.
