P.A. Police hunt Midtown machete attacker

Prince Albert Police are looking to find the man who attacked another person with a machete on Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the intersection of Third Avenue East and 11 Street East at 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon for a weapons call.

They found a man with wounds from the machete. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect with the machete had fled the scene but officers found surveillance video which showed the assailant striking the victim with a machete while trying to take his backpack.

After the assault, the suspect ran eastward in the alley on 11 Street East.

He was wearing a black winter jacket and had a grey hoodie over his head. He was also wearing a black hat, black boots and pants and yellow work gloves.
