Thunderous chants of “Canada” echoed throughout the gym at Prince Albert’s Plaza 88, as Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) performed for its largest crowd ever in Prince Albert.

Over 270 people attended Monday night’s show.

The main event, which was fought within the unforgiving confines of a 15-foot steel cage, saw fan favourite, the high flying Cam!!ikaze successfully defend the Central Canadian Championship against American Danny Duggan.

Prior to the match, Duggan told the crowd they would be very lucky if Canada were to join the United States. This was in turn met with a louder chorus of boos and during the match, Cam!!ikaze appeared to smile as he threw Dugan head first into the unforgiving cage walls.

At one point, Duggan appeared to have the upper hand and while Cam!!ikaze was lying on the mat, proceeded to drape an American flag on him.

This prompted Cam!!ikaze to immediately jump to his feet, and rally back. He would soon after finish off the cocky American wrestler with a flying neck breaker off the top rope.

The co-main event saw “Chiseled” Chad Daniels against the “Zombie Killer” Mentallo. What many fans later referred to as the best match of the night, was back-and-forth and showcased the incredible skills both men possess.

Frustrated by Mentallo’s tenacity, and with the referee knocked to the ground, oblivious to what was occurring in the ring, Daniels armed himself with a gold chisel and struck Mentallo in the head.

The resilient masked warrior again kicked out, but ultimately fell victim to Daniels’s cutter finisher.
