City of Prince Albert awarding $15,000 to community sports organizations as Saskatchewan’s Most Active Community
After being named Saskatchewan’s Most Active Community back in July of last year as a part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, the City is receiving a $15,000 grant towards community sports organizations.
The City is going to be awarding the grant in chunks of $2,500, and sports organizations in the city can apply for their portion by filling out this application form. Organizations that are applicable under the Sport and Physical Activity Inclusion Grant must be targeted towards:
- BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Communities
- Low-Income Populations
- Persons with Disabilities
- Newcomers to Canada
- 2SLGBTQI+ Communities
Applicable groups must be non-profit, and either serve these populations directly, or help remove barriers for these populations in their physical activity programming so that everyone gets a chance to play.
