A man accused of stabbing a Prince Albert security guard is the head, is maintaining his innocence.

Gilbert Robillard’s matter was discussed Wednesday morning at provincial court and a not guilty plea was entered to aggravated assault.

On Jan. 7, police were called to a business in the 2900 block of Second Ave. W. There was a report of a theft in progress where car keys had been stolen.

The victim, identified as a 24-year-old man, was treated by paramedics and transported to Victoria Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.

A person close to the incident informed paNOW the initial incident occurred at South Hill mall but ended near South Hill Lodge.

They explained the three suspects had previously been banned from the property for mischief, assault and public intoxication. Security team members were the first to locate the fleeing suspects and and told police where they could be found.
