‘Our dedicated core remains intact’: Doug Forster named interim leader of Sask. United Party
Saskatchewan United Party welcomes Doug Forster as the new interim leader following Jon Hromek’s resignation at the end of 2024.
Forster represented the party in Yorkton last October’s election but lost to David Chan of the Saskatchewan Party.
In the party’s statement issued on Friday, he emphasized resilience and a commitment to strengthening Sask. United over the next four years in preparation for the 2028 provincial election.
He acknowledged that their first electoral attempts fell short of expectations and pointed out that the party made an impact on the province’s political landscape.
