Jan 15, 2025 | 12:38 PM

A 17-year-old teen was charged after police investigated a stabbing yesterday morning.

Around 3 a.m. on Jan. 14, police were called to a parking lot on Second Avenue West where a man was suffering from stab wounds.

The 38-year-old man was taken to hospital where he is now in stable condition.

Police determined the victim gave the suspect a ride to a hotel in the 100 block of Marquis Road. During the ride, the man was attacked and the suspect fled into the hotel.

Police arrested a teen matching the suspects description. She now faces charges of aggravated assault, obstructing a police officer, and failure to comply with an undertaking. She also faces outstanding warrants.

The girl, who cannot be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in court yesterday.
