Biggar RCMP investigating fatal crash

Biggar RCMP are investigating a fatal crash that happened just east of the community on Thursday.

Police say they responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 at around 12:40 p.m. where they found a car and a semi had collided.

The driver of the car, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has since been identified as a 35-year-old man from Saskatoon. His family has been notified.

The driver of the semi was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The highway was closed during initial response and investigation, but has since been reopened.
