A 29-year-old man was arrested by Prince Albert Police, after threats were made to a security guard.

Early Thursday afternoon, officers responded to the 900 Block of Exhibition Drive and learned that two men had approached the security guard’s vehicle, hitting the window.

Members of the Prince Albert Police responded quickly and found two suspects matching the description near 10th Avenue East and 8th Street East.

Both were arrested and officers found a knife on one of them after a search.

The investigation revealed that one man had threatened the victim with the knife.

The suspect is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death. He made his first appearance in Provincial Court this morning.

The Prince Albert Police Service said it remains committed to responding swiftly to incidents involving weapons to ensure the safety of the community.
