Maschmeyer, Mrazova, Poulin named PWHL three stars of the week
TORONTO — Ottawa goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer, Charge teammate Katerina Mrazova and Montréal Victoire forward Marie-Philip Poulin have been named the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s three stars of the week.
Maschmeyer earned first-star honours after she made 34 saves in Ottawa’s 3-1 road victory over the New York Sirens on Sunday.
Mrazova, who was named second star, scored her first goal of the season and added an assist as the Charge ended a three-game losing streak with their first road win of the campaign.
Poulin scored the winning goal in Montreal’s 3-2 victory at defending Walter Cup champion Minnesota on Saturday.
