Mail delivery service disrupted for Prince Albert
Canada Post has issued a ‘red delivery service alert’ for Prince Albert due to the freezing rain. The alert states that delivery is being suspended for the day.
Any mail delivery agents that had been sent out before the alert was issued at 11:24 a.m. have been recalled, and delivery will resume later in the day if possible once conditions improve.
Canada Post customers are encouraged to clear snow and ice from walkways, stairs, or any other pathways that may lead to your mailbox to make sure mail carriers have safe access once mail service resumes.
According to the Highway Hotline, all roads in the Prince Albert area are all under the ‘covered’ status with the exception of Highway 55 heading northeast towards Meath Park, which shows ‘partly covered’ conditions before it clears up closer to Meath Park.
