Armed robbery on Christmas Eve

A woman was taken to hospital by paramedics on Christmas Eve after being assaulted by a man with a gun who also stole her truck.

Prince Albert Police were called to the 1200 Block of 2nd Avenue West around 5p.m. and found the 31-year-old injured woman.

Officers were told that the victim was in a vehicle with another woman, whom she knew, and an unknown man when she was assaulted before getting out of the truck.

The stolen truck was found empty 20 minutes later in the 3200 Block of 2nd Avenue West. The man and woman had left the vehicle, walking westbound on foot.

The woman was wearing a burgundy jacket, a blue toque and is thought to have blond hair.
