Dec 2, 2024 | 3:06 PM

A 29-year-old man was arrested after police were called to the Victoria Hospital for a case of interpersonal violence.

Officers from the Prince Albert Police Service attended the hospital yesterday after getting information about the suspected case of domestic violence.

They found the woman who was the victim injured from the assault and learned there had been a dispute earlier in the day at a home on the 400 Block of 27th Street East.

The man was found at a home on the 100 Block of 27th Street East and arrested without incident.

He is now charged with assault causing bodily harm.

PA Police said it recognizes that Saskatchewan has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in the country and is committed to addressing that by working with community partners and ensuring help is available for victims.
