Missing Beardy’s man found deceased: RCMP

Saskatchewan RCMP are confirming a man reported missing earlier this week, has been found deceased.

Clayton Cameron’s death is not believed to be suspicious in nature.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service will continue the investigation into his death.

Cameron, a resident of Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation (BOCN), had been missing since Tuesday.

SARSAV, a provincial volunteer search organization, was contacted to work with BOCN Emergency Management to help find Cameron.

Cameron was last seen on Tuesday evening at a bar in Laird, where his last bank transaction was also done.

His truck was later found abandoned in the rural area, about six kilometres northeast of the community. His cell phone was found inside.
